Welcome to Rúrik Gíslason Fans, a fan source dedicated to Icelandic football player Rúrik Gíslason.

He currently plays for 2. Bundesliga Team SV Sandhausen in Germany.
Rúrik is a player who uses his power and skills primarily on the right wing. Rúrik has played for FC Nurnberg (Germany), FC Copenhagen (Denmark), OB (Denmark), Viborg (Denmark), Charlton (England), HK (Iceland) and Anderlecht (Belgium)

The last group match, and unfortunately the last match at the World Cup for Iceland. After a fantastic 1-1 draw against Argentina in the first match and a hard defeat against Nigeria, Iceland had to go out and win the match against Croatia, and hope for a good result in the groups other game between Argentina and Nigeria. The Icelandic team fought for it like the true vikings they are, but it wasn’t enough in the end, with Croatia winning 2-1. Rúrik didn’t play the match.

Rúrik played the entire game on the right wing.

The 23-man squad was announced yesterday and i’m so proud to say that Rúrik is a part of that squad! Congrats, can’t wait to watch Iceland play.
